Every day more often, such areas are restored and made livable. Considering that the attic is a place under the roof, it can often presents infiltration problems, that can be solved using waterproofing systems both indoor and outdoor.

At the same time, it is a place where heat loss is higher than other areas of the building; for this reason it usually needs a proper thermal insulation, that can be made using Diathonite plasters and screeds. Thanks to the low level of thickness required to obtain a good insulation, the internal area (yardage) remains the same, thus without weighting down too much the existing substrate.
