A manifesto project at the Galleria Rossana Orlandi
At the recent Milan Design Week 2025, Diasen presented ANESIS – Nature, Comfort, CorkPhilia, an installation designed by Giuliana Salmaso and hosted in the courtyard of the prestigious Galleria Rossana Orlandi. A striking and impactful experience offered by the Marche-based company, led by Diego Mingarelli, to experts, curious visitors, and design enthusiasts; an evocative installation based on a regenerative vision of living and on a sensorial, aesthetic and scientific approach to architectural design. ANESIS stands out as a monolithic architecture with a biomorphic shape, entirely clad in Diathonite – Diasen’s signature bio-based plaster composed of cork, lime and pumice stone. A material that intrigues and captivates with its tactile softness and visual appeal, embodying the values of sustainability, beauty and comfort. The installation guided visitors on a journey from chaos to calm, through spaces inspired by Palaeolithic caves and the architectural and classical symbolism of the Pantheon. ANESIS represented a milestone for Diasen: a manifesto project marking a turning point in the understanding of biophilic design. For this reason, the legacy of the installation extends beyond the Milan event, becoming the starting point of a narrative and an ongoing experimentation aimed at shaping and inspiring the future of natural architecture.
