Sound absorbing plaster to eliminate echoes and reverberations both internal and external.
The system involves the realisation of a soundproofing plaster, in all that areas where it is necessary to proceed to the elimination of echoes, reverberations and noises in general.
The system implies the use of Diathonite Acoustix pre-mixed plaster: its unique macroporous structure gives the material a sound absorption index of 70%. This means that the sound wave striking the surface of Diathonite Acoustix is absorbed and dissipated for its 70%, and only the remaining 30% is reflected back on the room.
It becomes therefore possible to obtain a sound absorbing surface in all that areas that require an adequate acoustical correction, such as theatres, auditoriums, classrooms, conference rooms, etc. In case of concrete surfaces, which generally present problems of sound wave reflection, it is used the adhesion adjuvant Aquabond, in order to ensure the proper anchoring of Diathonite Acoustix on surfaces really smooth or treated with some form release agents.
This system can be used both internally and externally. In case of indoor applications, the plaster is covered with a breathable water-based paint, applied directly on it. In the case of external applications, the plaster should be treated with transparent breathable water-repellent BKK, able to protect against water the whole plaster layer, in order to avoid any possible absorption of rainwater.
In both these cases, the finishing used has no negative impact on the macroporous structure of the material, thus avoiding to decrease the sound absorbing index of the material.
