Sound insulation in partition wall
Partition wall, especially those between separate housing units, require a proper sound insulation to ensure proper living comfort inside the rooms.
In the case of perimeter walls, the greater thickness of the brick generally used can more easily reach the required parameters. partitions walls on the other hand are increasingly being made with low thickness brick, in order to limit the loss of internal volume of buildings.
Another aspect to consider is that often the partition walls have tracks for plants that, thus reducing the overall thickness of the wall, form sound bridges that is the preferential way for the transmission of sound.
The material that will be used for acoustic insulation of the partition wall must therefore have good insulating capabilities without excessively increasing the overall thickness of the wall.
