The waterproofing works made with bituminous membrane applied by torch present several weak points represented by the various joints and overlappings, both transverse and longitudinal, between the single rolls. As a result of mechanical stresses and thermal expansions after few years it is possible these joints to detach themselves each one from another, thus causing a discontinuity of the sealing layer that allows water to infiltrate. In this situation, and in all those circumstances in which you can identify and locate with certainty the exact origin of the infiltration, it is possible to restore the waterproofing capacity of the membrane through a localized intervention of re-waterproofing.
