In certain situations, intervening with an external thermal insulation is not possible. In these cases, the only possibility is to apply the insulating layer inside.
An internal thermal insulation can significantly speed up the time of reaching the desired temperature by turning on the heating system. The heat will be immediately blocked by the insulating layer and then inside the room gets warmer faster than external insulation. This solution is particularly indicated in case of intervention on structures that are not often used.
An insulating material applied internally must also have a mechanical strength that can "satisfy" the requirements of an inner wall: shock resistance and the possibility of applying shelves, nails or other items.
