Acoustic insulation from trampling

Sound, as well as by air, can be transmitted through the structural elements of a building. The sound insulation of noise of footsteps, impact and friction involves the construction of an isolating layer that "disconnect" the screed flooring from the floor, thus limiting the propagation of sound vibration through the structure of the building.

This technique, called "floating screed" specifically provides the interposition between the floor and screed of an elastic and cushioning material, able to absorb the sound vibration and limit the spread through the building materials. The real insulating capacity of a insulation system to trampling depends not only on the quality of materials used, but also on the correct installation of the same.

Measures for good insulation to trampling:

• There should not be any points of contact between the floor and the rigid partition wall;
• Hoses and cables must be connected to the plant floor with a special mortar, which should preferably have good acoustic insulation capacity;
• The surface on which you plan to roll out the soundproofing mat must be well leveled, compact and free of roughness;
• The soundproofing mat must be folded vertically over the height of the finished floor. Only after the installation of the final flooring, the flap in excess can be removed and covered with baseboard.
