This system involves an ultra-reflective protective coating for all bituminous and slated membranes, both new and existing, through the use of Oriplast Reflex, that, thanks to its high reflectance rate (>90%) reflects a big percentage of solar energy. This allows to decrease the temperature on the surface and inside the rooms below, reducing significantly summer air conditioning costs. In non-conditioned building, instead, it rises the inner summer comfort.
Recent studies have also shown that the use of ultra-reflective materials in combination with solar panels increases significantly the performances of the latter in terms of efficiency. Moreover, the product contributes to the reduction of Heat Island Effect, which means a higher temperature in the city area than rural areas.

The reflecting feature of Oriplast Reflex contributes also to protect the bitumen sheath below from aging, improving its durability and effectiveness over time.
