The first phase of the system include a thorough cleaning of the support using a manual blower, aimed at the complete removal of dust, oils, greases, debris or detaching parts and any other element that may affect the proper adhesion of the liquid waterproofing Acriflex Winter.
Part B (cement powder) has been mixed directly into the bucket containing Part A (acrylic resin). In order to obtain the perfect mixing of the two components, it was used a traditional drill mixer with helical whip. Once the mixing of two components has been completed, we proceeded to the treatment of vertical and horizontal joints using the waterproofing Acriflex Winter in combination with Safety Joint Roll.
This application requires the application of a coat of Acriflex Winter with a brush directly on the surface. Over the still wet coat of Acriflex Winter must be layed Safety Joint Roll band with the non-woven part facing the waterproofing layer, taking care to obtain a perfect impregnation of the band. Once Acriflex Winter coat is dry, the protective film of the band is removed, and again by brush it is applied a further coat of Acriflex Winter to completely cover the band.
In this way it is obtained a "sandwich system" capable of ensuring and effective and lasting waterproofing of one of the most critical point of a similar structure. The same treatment must also be done on expansion joints and on every angle.
Afterwards the reinforcement mesh Polites, characterized by the peculiar anti-floating flaps which allow to avoid the use of the traditional "sandwich system", has been spread. The network is laid directly on the support, taking care to realize 6 cm overlappings between each roll. Directly on Polites net was later applied the first coat of the two component liquid cement waterproofing Acrilfex Winter by roll. Once the first coat of Acriflex Winter is completely dry, it was applied the second and final coat, this time by air-less, to completely cover Polites net.
