Asbestos encapsulation on industrial building

Asbestos encapsulation realised onto the roof of an industrial warehouse located in the town of Genga (AN).

The system, certificated in accordance with current building regulations, provides the application of Eposint, solvent-base primer able to fix effectively asbestos fibers. Eposint has been applied by air-less machine, in just one coat.

The day after Eposint application, it was applied Verplast, one-component product based on acrylic resins, able to encapsulate definitively asbestos fibers. Verplast has been applied by air-less machine in two coats. As required by the regulation, the first coat has been applied in white color, and the second one in a different tone. In this way it's possible to control any eventual deterioration of the encapsulating layer, allowing to apply, when and if needed, another coat of Verplast.
